Characterfag

A Characterfag is someone who fanboys and identifies with a particular character. Characterfags are known to exist across almost all communities - However, because the inhabitants of the CHAD'S DEN constantly strive for dominance over each other, characterfagging has become the very soul of /dbs/. There is scarcely any discussion that is not a characterfag war to some degree. Every characterfag will try to make his character look as good as he possibly can, using the best rational arguments he can think of, while others try to tear them down. This creates an environment of constant intellectual debate, as failure to defend a character forces one to kneel, the worst fate possible. As such, /dbs/ is a diverse community of various characterfag groups, all of which collectively exhibit a diverse range of personality traits. The majority of /dbs/ history has been shaped by characterfag conflicts. These conflicts fully came into being during the Tournament of Power arc. The Tournament of Power pitted nearly the entire cast of Dragon Ball against each other in a Universal team vs team Battle Royale. It is here that the performance of a character was directly contrasted with that of other characters for the first time, thus truly bringing different characterfag groups into conflict. Erase of your favorite character meant ultimate humiliation at the hands of the entire thread. Who would be knocked out next, who would perform better overall, which character would job to whom, etc. thus became constant topics of debate. This culture of conflict never went away after the ToP ended, and remains the core of /dbs/ to this day.
